The aim of this Dealing with a Mental Health Emergency training course is to help learners understand the actions they should take and what they should not do when supporting someone who is experiencing a mental health crisis and someone who is suicidal.
This Dealing with a Mental Health Emergency eLearning course will equip learners with an understanding of practical actions they can take to help someone in the early stages of mental ill-health, the short and long term support they can give to friends, family and work colleagues experiencing mental ill-health and also the support they can give to help with recovery. They will also understand why it is important to recognise their own limitations when supporting others with their mental health and the different ways in which they can do this.
