Hey everyone! It’s Jaden, and I’m back to tell you about our weekend trip to the Isle of Man. It was an exciting but super tiring trip with lots of new experiences. Here’s what went down!

The journey to the Isle of Man
On Friday, we drove to Liverpool and stayed overnight at a hotel near the airport since we had an early flight the following day. The flight itself was incredibly short—just 25 minutes! It felt like we barely got in the air before it was time to land. The sea surrounds the Isle of Man, and flying over the water to land on this small island was a cool experience.
Family fun and party time
We went to the Isle of Man for a big family party—my Auntie Rita and her husband had a housewarming, so the whole family came together. The dress code was white, which made the party look fancy. There was lots of family there, both from my dad’s side and my auntie's husband’s side. It was nice to meet everyone, even though I didn’t know many people. The food was delicious, especially the Zimbabwean dishes, and the music was pretty fun, too, even though I couldn’t understand everything since people were speaking in Shona. I still enjoyed watching everyone dance!

Exploring the Isle of Man
The Isle of Man itself is quiet and surrounded by the sea. We stayed in the capital, Douglas, which was nice but not too busy. We explored more on Sunday before returning to Auntie Rita’s house for a BBQ lunch. It was a great way to relax and chat with family after the big party.
The weather and the ride home
The weather was strange. When we arrived on Saturday, it was hot, but by Sunday it was cold and windy! By the time we got back to Liverpool, it was pouring with rain, which made the drive home long and tiring. But overall, it was a great weekend.
